ENABLING COLLABORATION FOR IMPROVED BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
Advantage Sales and Marketing understands that industry and customer technology initiatives create both an opportunity and challenge to achieve business productivity through automation. ASM believes that as a strategic partner for our clients and customers, we must provide leadership to understand, implement, educate, and develop best practices as it relates to business collaboration.
DATA SYNCHRONIZATION
ASM has implemented a sophisticated data synchronization solution that is compliant with the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) to support the transition from Universal Product Codes (UPC) to Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) and provide leadership within the industry to develop and implement data synchronization best practices.
As a strategic partner, ASM understands the importance to collaborate with clients first so we properly represent their products to retailers. Accurate GTIN information is important to maintain item accuracy within the ASM order management system, accurately assign GTIN numbers to new item forms and promotional contracts and support retailer's initiatives. Furthermore, ASM can help its clients test data synchronization processes to gain experience, ensure accuracy, and better understand the business impact prior to publishing to retailers.
VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY (VMI)
ASM takes a strategic approach to VMI by capturing promotional activity and using industry leading technology from Demantra to process sales and promotional history. The ASM VMI solution creates promotional forecasts that drive replenishment plans and automated truck-load ordering for its clients. Because ASM manages the customer relationship for its VMI clients, we believe we are in the best position to manage promotional activity and inventory replenishment. Dedicated VMI analysts take a hands-on approach to inventory responsibilities and review activity on a daily basis to manage exceptions and work with clients to support a broader demand planning function and customer allocations.
eCOMMUNITY
Retailers are increasingly turning to web-portals to enable collaboration with agencies and clients for managing promotions, new items, and sales reporting. ASM is working closely with retailers to develop technology collaborations to share information electronically that can be leveraged to improve business productivity and eliminate repetitive data entry.
