Advantage Sales and Marketing appoints Bob Murray to Treasurer
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 23, 2009—Advantage Sales and Marketing (ASM) today appointed Bob Murray as Treasurer. Murray will report directly to Brian G. Stevens, Vice President, Finance & Accounting.
“As ASM continues to grow and its financial responsibilities become more sophisticated, particularly in our current economic environment, it is critical to bring in a Treasurer of Bob’s caliber,” said Stevens. “Bob has a tremendous track record of experience in designing and developing investment policies, treasury and risk management, serving on board committees, Sarbanes-Oxley related compliance controls and procedures.”
Murray joins ASM with many years of experience in treasury and risk management. Most recently, Murray served as the Treasurer for a billion dollar publicly traded company. In that role he managed all banking and investment relationships, led the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley controls, oversaw corporate governance policies, served as Chairman of the Risk Management Council, and served as Secretary for various Board of Director committees. He previously worked for a multi-billion dollar company managing their liquidity requirements, evaluating various complex financing options, mergers and acquisitions, and running a billion dollar commercial paper program.

Murray holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Cash Manager and a Certified Public Accountant.
