Pamela James

Vice President, Human Resources

Pamela James was appointed Vice President of Human Resources of Advantage Sales and Marketing (ASM) in 2008. She is responsible for talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations, rewards and recognition, benefits and corporate communications.

James joined ASM in 2007 as National Director of Human Resources for the company’s Marketing Services division.
James has more than 25 years of Human Resources experience in both public and private companies in the consumer packaged goods, restaurant and financial industries.

Before joining ASM, James served in a variety of senior management positions including ConAgra Foods, where she managed talent acquisition and development, and employee relations.

She also held a variety of senior management positions in Human Resources during her eight years with YUM Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut. James also spent eight years at Citigroup, Inc. serving as Vice President of Human Resources for Citigroup’s Corporate and Investment Banking divisions.

James holds an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Harvard College. Her master’s thesis titled, Careers in Human Resources, was published in Choosing a Career in Business by Simon & Schuster.

James has held a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation since 1991 and is certified in the Lominger Leadership Architect program and VOICES 360 Instrument.
